Q. What is a domain name?
A. A domain name is a unique name that identifies a particular series of numbers, or IP address on the Internet. Just as your residence has a street addresses, computers have addresses too. When a domain name is called, a gateway interprets the numbers (IP address) and locates you by your domain name.
Q. Why do I need a domain?
A. With a domain name it makes it much easier to find you. If you have a website, a domain name is essential to your business, without a domain name, visitors would have to enter an IP address. It is much easier to remember a domain name, don't you think?
Q. What is the cost of domain name registration?
A. .New registrations and transfers are $15 per year. Some TLDs require 2 year registrations. See prices for more details.
Q. How do I search for a domain name?
A.Enter any domain name here that ends in .com, .net or .org. Do not include "http://.." or "www." before the domain. Long domain named accepted. If you enter an invalid domain name an error message will be displayed. If the domain is taken, you will be notified and several similar domain names will be suggested.
Q. How long many characters long can my domain name be?
A. Domains cannot exceed 63 characters (67 total with the .tld extension)
Q. What characters can I use in my domain name?
A. Domain names can only use letters, numbers, and hyphens ("-"). 
-Spaces and other symbols are not allowed.
-Domain names cannot begin or end with a hyphen.
Q. Why do I need name servers to register a domain?
A. Valid name servers are required with domain name registration, you can update and manage name servers at any time. If you are not certain of your Web Host provider's name servers, check the box, "this domain will be parked or hosted on a Hosting.com server.
Q. Is there an additional cost to use your name servers?
A. No, there is no additional cost.

Q. What do I do if I accidentally misspell my domain name during the registration process?
A. If you registered a domain incorrectly and would like to cancel the order, please send an email within 24 hours to billing@wsmdomains.com. We will cancel your order and give you a refund. There is a $5.00 surcharge for any canceled orders.
Q. How long does it take before my domain name is registered?
A. Domain registration are "LIVE" or in real time. Click here to check the status of your domain
Q. What do I do if I received a receipt but the status does not show the domain registration is completed?
A. Occasionally domains need to be processed manually, please contact domainsupport@wsmdomains.com if you feel your domain name was not registered.
